What is plagiarism

According to Oxford Dicitonaries plagiarism is "the practice of taking someone else’s work or ideas and passing them off as one’s own"

The Victoria University of Wellington defines plagiarism as "the presentation of the work of another person, or other persons, as if it were one’s own, whether intended or not. This includes published and unpublished work, material on the Internet and the work of other students and staff".
